Work is now well underway on the new 'easy access' to the hotel, which will enable the less agile of our guests to enter the building on the lower ground floor via a ramp and have use of the lift to all floors.
This should be completed within the next few weeks which we know will be good news to many of our regular friends and guests.

As you can see our new ramp for our 'easy access is now well under construction. We are all very exited and can't wait to see it completed - almost there!
And then the railings went up and the finishing touches were made.
We are all delighted to now have our easy access project fully completed and already being made good use of. This gives us access to the lower ground floor where it is possible to reach all floors of the hotel via the lift.
Taking full advantage of our new easy access, one of our regular guests at The Rutland Mr Phil Housam. And Phill's opinion is its a wonderful addition which only adds to the quality of the hotel and the care and attention both the owners and staff give to their guests.
On September 20th we ran our very first train enthusiast's week and it was a great succsses.
We travelled on a variety of Deisel and Steam train's on normal service lines and privately restored lines, taking in some of the beautifull countryside of Devon and Cornwall.
